Welcome to My AICE Medias Studies Blog!

Media Studies is important to knowing what all the elements that are included in different types of media. I always consume media, watching movies, reading books, social media, etc. and using my phone or laptop to access it. These media products are the most accessible to everyone and that why it's so easy to consume media. Before getting into media studies, I never thought about all the elements that were included into media: costumes, characters, sound, lighting, etc. I really only watch it never really inspected it. Before media studies I never thought about the technology around us that helps us consume media: smartphones, laptops, desktops, television, books, magazines, etc. Another thing is how long media is (books, radios, etc.)

I will be documenting my own film opening. I would like to do a horror/ thriller film opening. This would go for teenagers that like horror/ thriller movies, I chose to do this genre because it's one of my favorites outside of horror. The theme would be teenage murder or something along the lines of this. I would need a few people and phones and editing software. My film would be ready to release in around April when it is due.

For me to finish and complete this film as well as blog our steps. My teammates and I would need motivation, hard work, time, and creativity. Motivation would have us working hard to make sure our film is good and what we need to finish this project. But we won't have motivation if we don't have creativity to plan it out. The time is the amount of time we are using to make it, we have a few months, and we just have to use it wisely and not procrastinate.

Introduction to Storyboarding: Camera Angles

Camera Angles      Camera angles is the placement of the camera, that makes the angles how it is. The cinematographer does this to make dimension and dynamic in the film so that it isn't just one flat angle, this allows for emotion to be  conveyed  through the camera. For example, low angle shows dominance and power in the film whereas high angle (the polar opposite) shows submission and weakness.
